Cookie policy | Bigsmile

About this policy

This policy explains how Big Smile, the trading name of LP Smiles Limited (company number 17513170), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we look after your personal information.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit. They help the site work, remember your choices, and help website owners understand how their site is used.

Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, work in much the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.

Some cookies are set by us ("first-party"). Others are set by services we use, such as video players ("third-party").

The types we use

Always on

Strictly necessaryNeeded for the website to work, for example to keep it secure and remember your cookie choices. These can't be switched off on our site, but you can block them in your browser. Some parts of the site may then not work.

Your choice

AnalyticsHelp us understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are popular, so we can improve it. We only use these if you agree. [Delete this card if you don't use analytics.]

Not used

Advertising and trackingWe don't use cookies to show you adverts or to track you across other websites. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Our "Do aligners suit me?" check and our before and after slider work entirely in your browser. They don't use cookies, and we don't receive your answers.

YouTube videos: any videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set cookies or use local storage once you press play. See Google's privacy policy.
Forms and payments: [If your form or payment provider sets cookies, for example for security or fraud prevention, name it here.]

Managing your choices

On our website

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works either way. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link [at the bottom of every page / on the cookie icon].

In your browser

You can also view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Here's how for the most popular browsers:

If you block all cookies, some parts of our website may not work properly.
